Wannetta Mallette is a professional transportation planner and serves as the Burlington – Graham Metropolitan Planning Organization (BGMPO) Administrator.  She has extensive experience in all facets of transportation planning and project management with a passion for creating equitable outcomes.  The BGMPO is the first North Carolina MPO to develop a regional safety action plan and for her collaborative efforts was awarded the 2023 NC Vision Zero Safety Rising Star Award.   Ms. Mallette holds master’s degrees in project management and business administration and an undergraduate degree in Statistics with a minor in Civil Engineering from the University of South Carolina. Ms. Mallette currently resides in Burlington and is a native of North Charleston, South Carolina, and enjoys traveling and soul line dancing.
