Nancy Pullen-Seufert, MPH, is the Associate Director of the Pedestrian and Bicycle Information Center, the Director of the National Center for Safe Routes to School and Senior Research Associate at the University of North Carolina Highway Safety Research Center. She brings more than twenty years of experience in pedestrian injury prevention and mobility with a focus on children and teens, including through Safe Routes to School. She has led the development of international and national strategies for pedestrian safety garnering support and engagement with city, state and federal agencies and foundations. She has led projects to develop and support city and state level implementation of multi-faceted road safety programs. Much of her work has focused on building capacity among transportation, public health, law enforcement and other professionals including through training development, fostering peer networks, demonstration site projects and evaluation.
