**For students submitting a poster session - the  registration fee of $99 will be refunded to those students whose sessions are selected for presentation on March 27th. 

At this time, the 2024 Safe Mobility Conference will be held In-Person only. 

To receive a full registration refund, send a cancellation request to Amanda Neely via email prior to the close of business Friday, March 1, 2024. Cancellations received after March 1, 2024 are not eligible for a refund.

Dress code for the 2024 Safe Mobility Conference is business casual during the day and casual for the Tuesday evening event.  Comfortable layers are recommended in meeting rooms as temperatures can be cool. In March, average temperatures in Chapel Hill range from the mid 70°’s to the low 50°’s.

The Friday Conference Center guest parking lot is provided at no cost exclusively for conference attendees. The semi-circle guest lot is located across from the main entrance at the South end of the facility. Parking passes are required and must be displayed on the dashboard of each vehicle when parked in the guest lot. Parking passes can be found here.

APA/AICP CM information for Planners
The Safe Mobility Conference is officially pre-approved for certification maintenance credits through the American Planning Association/American Institute of Certified Planners (APA/AICP). There are two scenarios for earning these credits:

• Those who attend a March 26, 2024, morning workshop in addition to the rest of the main conference are eligible to receive 11.75 certification maintenance credits.
• Those who attend just the main portion of conference that starts at 1 pm on Tuesday, March 26, 2024, are eligible to receive 8.75 certification maintenance credits.

Confirmed attendees will be sent the links to the APA/AICP event pages to claim their credits after the Safe Mobility Conference.  If you need additional supporting documentation to submit for CE or professional development hours, please email Shaina Harris at Sharris@aaafoundation.org.
